Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center
The Pequest Trout Hatchery and Natural Resource Education Center located in Oxford, NJ is open to visitation 10am to 4pm seven days a week except for holidays. You may take a self-guided tour to see where more than 600,000 trout are raised for stocking the public waters of NJ. Free organized group programs may be scheduled for tours of the hatchery. Fishing education classes for group of 15 – 20 people ages 8 and up may also be scheduled from April to October. Pequest offers many other programs throughout the year ranging in topics from insects, wild bird feeding, fly tying, fly fishing, spincasting, snakes and more. There are many opportunities for hunting, hiking, fishing and birding on the 4000-acre Pequest Wildlife Management Area.
